Delivering my local plan for Kalamunda
Living in the Perth Hills is something truly special. My wife, Chanelle, and I were both raised here, and we feel incredibly fortunate to be raising our children in Lesmurdie, giving them the unique experience of a ‘Hills’ childhood.
The Perth Hills lifestyle is shaped by its rich heritage, stunning landscapes, and strong community spirit.
As part of the Mettam Liberal Team, I will deliver real solutions for Kalamunda, driven by the right priorities to build a better future.
Meeting so many locals during this campaign has been a privilege, and your feedback has shaped my local plan.
Too many families in our community are struggling to find a home they can afford.
I’ll work hard to deliver practical solutions, including incentives for first-home buyers, support for sustainable subdivision, and more investment in affordable housing projects. The WA Liberals have committed $500M to significantly boost the housing supply in the state and will invest in infrastructure that unlocks more housing.
I’ll also advocate for better access to aged care and independent living facilities, so older residents can remain part of the community they love.
TACKLING THE LACK OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING
Every family deserves access to quality healthcare close to home.
I’ll fight for increased funding to our local clinics and hospitals, recruit more GPs, and expand telehealth services so families can get the care they need without long waits or travel. I’ll also push for more options to deliver care in the home, ensuring families can access support in a way that works for them.
Mental health care is just as important, and a Mettam Liberal government will work to ensure these vital services are available when and where people need them most.

IMPROVING ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE
Everyone has the right to feel safe in their own neighbourhood.
With businesses and families already under so much pressure from the cost-of-living crisis, they deserve to feel secure. I’m committed to tackling crime and vandalism by advocating for more police on the beat, increased CCTV coverage, and stronger penalties for repeat offenders.
The Mettam Liberal Team will invest $500M into cracking down on crime and putting more police on the streets. By working closely with law enforcement, local governments, and residents, I’ll make sure our streets, parks, and public spaces are safe for everyone.
KEEPING OUR COMMUNITY SAFE
Reliable internet and mobile coverage are essential in today’s world.
I’ll fight for upgrades to telecommunications infrastructure to eliminate blackspots and keep our community connected. Whether it’s for work, study, or safety, reliable networks are crucial. This is especially true during emergencies, where dependable communication can make all the difference for our volunteer bushfire brigades and emergency services.
By pushing for better connectivity, the WA Liberals will ensure our community has the tools it needs to stay connected and resilient, no matter the circumstances.
ENHANCING TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORKS
Our kids deserve the best education possible.
I’ll fight for increased funding for local schools, improved classroom resources, and better facilities to give every child
the best chance to thrive. Supporting teachers and ensuring they have what they need to succeed will be a key focus, as will advocating for programs that prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of the future.
By investing in our schools and education system, we’re investing in the potential of our children and the future of our community.
INVESTING IN LOCAL SCHOOLS AND EDUCATION
Our local clubs and sporting groups are the heart of our community.
I’ll push for new and upgraded facilities, including sports grounds, playgrounds, and community centers, so everyone has access to spaces where they can stay active and connected. Supporting these facilities fosters community spirit, but we also need to invest in our safety.
I’ll advocate for additional resources for our bushfire brigades, ensuring they have the equipment and facilities they need to protect us.
